100 copies in hand stamped, embossed & numbered Arigato Pak.
Photograph inserts to compliment Doug Schaeffers beautiful
artwork.
"Hollywood was recorded live in 2009 using drums, saxophone,
flute and synthesizers. "Misty" is a tribute to the big
orchestrated scores by MGM, Disney and the like, while "Drug
Legs" is influenced by film noir. John Carpenter was also
involved."
Zelienople is Matt Christensen, Brian Harding, and Mike Weis.
normy:
I probably should have written about the first release on
Under The Spire before writing about the second one first.
That sentence is too confusing. I think I need to lie down and
listen to Zelienople's 'Hollywood' double 3" CDr which again
is limited to 100 hand numbered copies and all hand stamped
and stuff. These Chicago musicians have had releases on
Time-Lag, Type, Pseudo Arcana, Digitalis and Loose Thread and
if you've not checked them out then shame on you. 'Hollywood'
is a series of lush deeply atmospheric sound worlds that you
can totally lose yourself in. Grab one while you can.
