Roia ist das persische Wort fⁿr Traum. Cover und Titel
des Debⁿts dieses Salzburger Bandprojekts lassen eher an
Albtraum denken: Rosa FΣden als fragiles, aber dichtes
Nervengeflecht verhindern den Blick auf Konkretes,
Handfestes, wenden ihn nach innen, auf die eigenen
Traumata und DΣmonen, erzeugen eine "niedliche, kleine
Angst" (Titel).
Der elektronisch erzeugte Klang-Irrgarten tut sein
▄briges, flirrt und pulsiert verhangen wie unter
Psychopharmaka, klart ab und zu krΣftig auf, um dann
wieder in Nebelschleier abzutauchen. So wechseln
sphΣrische KlangflΣchen mit klaren Songstrukturen, von
Sam Vahdat und Paul Hochrainer mit viel Elektronik sowie
Gitarre und Bass erzeugt. Dazu singen die zarten Stimmen
von Nina Hochrainer und Dorian Wimmer engelsgleich und
pflⁿcken uns die Neurosen von der Innenseite der
Gehirnrinde. Gewiss nicht leicht verdaulich, was da als
kleiner Geniestreich den Weg aus dem Studio ans Licht der
╓ffentlichkeit nimmt. Beim kurzen Hinh÷ren landet der
Finger schnell auf der Stopp-Taste. Wer sich aber Zeit
nimmt fⁿr diese Songs zwischen Schwermut und
Schwerelosigkeit, wird sich ihrer Faszination nicht mehr
entziehen k÷nnen.
