Luise Pop - The Car The Ship The Train
Die Wiener Dreier-Formation Luise Pop gibt es bereits
seit 2004. Dieser Tage erscheint endlich ihr Debⁿtalbum
The Car The Ship The Train und wird sehr bald auch live
prΣsentiert. Eine CD-Rezension mit Fortgehtipp.
Luise Pop sind Vera Kropf, Lisa Berger und seit nicht
allzu langem auch Andreas Spechtl, ebenfalls SΣnger der
Gruppe Ja,Panik. Zusammen ver÷ffentlichen die drei
Multitalente nun endlich ihr erstes Album The Car The
Ship The Train auf dem heimischen Label Asinella Records.
Multitalente sind sie deshalb, weil alle singen k÷nnen,
Gitarre spielen und zusΣtzlich diverseste Klang- und
Klimperinstrumente beherrschen. All dies vereint, ergibt
eine feine Elektro-Indie-Pop-Rock-Mischung, die erh÷rt
werden sollte.
Besser spΣt als nie!
Seit 2004 existiert die Band zwar schon, doch konnte sie
sich erst jetzt fⁿr eine Albumproduktion aufraffen.
Besser spΣt als nie, lautet hier die Devise. Die drei
MusikerInnen verschanzten sich in einem eigenen
Gartenhausstudio und nahmen die Stⁿcke in v÷lliger
Eigenregie auf. Was sie da aufzeichneten, lΣsst sich
sehen und h÷ren.
Au▀er den zwar einfachen, aber dennoch schwungvollen
Nummern verfeinern ein wunderhⁿbsch mit Kollagen
zusammengestelltes Cover und das dazu passende Booklet
das Kunstwerk. Was nicht unbedingt ⁿblich ist, aber immer
erfreulich wirkt, ist die liebenswerte Beisteuerung der
Liedtexte mit darauf abgestimmten Verbildlichungen: Zu
"10086 Sunset Boulevard" dekorieren Palmen die Umgebung
und zu "At The Gas Station" guckt ein verwirrtes MΣnnchen
aus einem ramponierten Wagen heraus.
Auch die Ohren freuen sich
Natⁿrlich bietet die Platte nicht nur etwas fⁿr die
Augen, auch die Ohren kommen auf ihre Kosten. Sehr
bezaubernd, mal schneller und mal langsamer, besingen
Vera und Lisa - mit Andreas im Hintergrund - eine
MΣnnergesellschaft ("Boys"), den Frauenaufstand
("Feminist Terrorists") und auch mal Liebesbeziehungen
("At The Gas Station").
Der Song, der dem Album seinen Namen gegeben hat, nennt
sich "Detour". ("LetÆs leave this place, itÆs dangerous
to turn around. LetÆs take the plane, the car, the ship,
the train.") Nicht nur in diesem Stⁿck wird ⁿber das
Verschwinden und Weglaufen berichtet, sondern zum
Beispiel auch in "Run Away". Sehnt sich hier vielleicht
jemand in die Ferne? Das kann schon sein, doch momentan
ist das Trio noch daheim in Wien und bald live zu
erleben.
