Release Notes :
LondonÆs Dogmatik follow up recent releases from Alison Marks, Maya-Jane Coles and Mayrui & Salmon with this superb release
from Output which also features a legendary Peace Division remix.
Otherwise known as London-based afterhours specialists, Darren & Spencer teamed with label boss Alex Arnout,
Output deliver an original and dub of æVibrationsÆ, a tweaky, suitably late night houser riddled with detail atop an undulating
groove.
In its original form, a bumpy groove and FM bleeps and buzzes quickly makes for hypnotic listening while a field-recorded
sample flows nicely throughout. With an incredibly subtle 303 threaded through the track, the intensity builds
but does so gently and leaves the hypnotic groove brilliantly intact.
The dub mix strips the vocals down, adds some filtered chords and takes a drier approach to sound design
which results in a more urgent, driving feel. The is the perfect foil to the originals heady approach,
and a dub which will see many a peak time play.
Finally, in more ways than one, Peace Division take to the controls to remix æVibrationsÆ.
Groove is the buzz word here, as usual with this duo, and they take care of the mix in fine style.
Repetitive percussive touches, a spoken vocal and a relentless arrangement combined, this mix is classic Peace Division
and shows why the act are still the best around.
