Colorecordings was started in 2000. "Color" standing for Colorado.
Owner and handling all the A&R myself, DJ Vitamin D, you'll hear some
of my own productions as well as music from friends and artists I
respect.
Unfortunately, due to the low demand for vinyl and the collapse of
some of the distributors in the US the last 12", "Deluxe Theme" was
pressed and released on the 16th of February 2006.
Colorecordings is now digital only.
Back in the day we were releasing two pieces of vinyl a month. The
first 100 of each were pressed on colored vinyl and consisted of
nothing but house music.
All pressings took placed at Acme Vinyl and were mastered at Trutone,
NYC.
Initial support was provided by artists such as Dj Dan, Sneak,
Charles Feelgood, Donald Glaude, Derrick Carter, & Yousef to name a
few. Many tracks were licensed for compilations & mix cds.
Now you can expect the same quality. In fact the only difference is
the digital format.

Licensing inquiries?
No advance = No license.
First time Licensee? A deposit is required before contract is signed.
Royalty statements are required every quarter for the length of the
term. Statements will be requested each and every quarter. If you
cannot provide a quarterly statement please do not request a license!
