Sinner DC are on Ai records, purveyors of modern electronic
sound, classy house, techno & electro grooves. 'Crystallized'
is a new CD by him/her/them. It begins as an atmospheric
ambient techno treat, then come the waves of drifting,
emotive synths, calling like electronic whales whilst a 4/4
pulse pins it together. By 'Anyway' we're entering Ulrich
Schnauss territory and an electronic shoegaze effect that is
reminiscent of M83's metronomic dreampop. 'Golden Horses' is
head bustingly vibrant techno with haunting synths and crisp
clusters of glitch. I don't particularly like the vocals on
'The Medium is the Message' but the brooding darkwave electro
beneath has a beautiful android kick, like one of Tiga's
finer moments or one of BPitch Controls many cool filtered
floor burners. 'V' is an eerie piece of electronica, all
hollowed-out & disembodied sounding but all the more powerful
& fascinating for it and 'Sunrized returns to the classic
atmospheric "IDM" textures beloved of the early AI
generation. There's 9 tracks in total but I can safely tell
you this is a cracking, eclectic and satisfying record from a
pedigree stable.
