DaVinChe. For most, no introduction is needed. The 23
year-old has been a premier producer on the UK grime
scene since his late teens. 2009 marks the release of
his long-awaited debut studio album. æRiderÆ is the
first track scheduled for release on 4th May 2009.
Born and raised in South-East London, Davinche is a
self-taught producer synonymous with the grime scene;
playing an integral part of the work done by its
pioneers such as Wiley, JME, Kano, Jammer and Skepta.
æEyes on YouÆ, æTake You AwayÆ feat. Sadie Ama, æGotta
ManÆ with Doctor, æIÆll RideÆ feat. Estelle and Bashy
and KanoÆs æPs & QsÆ are just a few of the tracks that
have put Davinche on the top of the UK music makers
list. HeÆs been tipped for success by Wire Magazine,
RWD Magazine and MTV Base. Davinche is a trained
pianist and provided the grime element for æUrban
ClassicÆ, the BBCÆs ground-breaking attempt to fuse
grime with jazz and classical to create a 70-minute
symphonic sound-clash that took grime onto a different
plane. He also produced the score for the 2006
SkySports/NFL adverts. More recently Davinche has
remixed tracks for Britney Spears and M.I.A and
contributed to the funky-house scene with the classic
æIn the AirÆ with DJ Perempay and Katie Pearl.
