Release Notes:
A milestone in the history of CAKE...Motorcade Of Generosity.
CAKEÆs
debut album will be reissued after long absence at retail. The
remastered
album will feature an enhanced compact disc format that includes
previously
unreleased rare live performance footage from the bandÆs first
headline tour and
a special Motorcade decal insert. A vinyl album configuration
which includes
a limited edition Motorcade poster and a full album digital
download card is
also available.
The amalgamation of a talented songwriter determined to represent
himself on
his own terms, a lead guitarist with great playing ability and
strong collaborative
ideas, a trumpet player headstrong on being a part of the sound,
and a rocksolid
rhythm section with years of experience playing together, all of
which made
Motorcade of Generosity the significant musical statement that it
is. Motorcade
Of Generosity was forged during a specific era of the worldwide
music scene.
While all the tracks were completely accessible to anyone who was
paying
attention to the radio, the album was a strong reaction to the
surging, heavyhanded
guitar rock that listeners were accustomed to hearing during the
mid/
late nineties.
The band will tour their 2-set ôEvening With CAKEö show in the US
and Europe
throughout 2009. US cities targeted include: Austin, Houston,
Dallas, Fayetteville,
Kansas City, Boston, Hartford, New York, Washington DC, Chicago,
Columbus,
Detroit, Buffalo, Ottawa, Seattle, Portland, Salt Lake City, Los
Angeles, San
Diego, New Orleans, Atlanta, Charlotte, Columbia, Orlando and
Tampa. A
ten city European tour is planned for the autumn with the
following cities currently
being targeted: Cologne, Berlin, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Oslo,
Stockholm,
London, Holland, Belgium and Paris.
