  A real jammer of a record from Billy Cobham -- almost a summation of
  all the work he'd done in earlier years, smoothed out with a sweet
  funky late 70s fusion groove! The sound on the set is really tight --
  still plenty hard on the instrumentation, but also with a focus that we
  really appreciate -- one that's aimed as much at the soul-based jazz
  crowd as it is the headphone groovers who'd dug some of Cobham's
  trippier records in years past. Players on the set include Mark Soskin
  and Joachim Kuhn -- both of whom add in some mighty nice keyboards --
  as well as guitarist Pete Maunu, whose jamming riffs make the best
  tunes crackle with electricity!
