:: fresh enough to pump new energy into the minimalistically-shaped club scene with his ::
:: artificial and upright house constructs. ::

:: The current EP, simply titled ôThe Business Of Getting Downö, set to a continuously ::
:: super-efficient beat, at all times with a totally organic, powerful, bouncy beat, is ::
:: enriched with nearly spherical dub-like elements, tinkering with the sound in all ::
:: the ::
:: ::
:: perfect places, clear and transparent, very urban, yet never lacking friction. The ::
:: whole thing conveys a sort of glossy sunny backyard atmosphere. ::

:: The opening track, ôSmoothest Cat On The Blockö sounds incredibly funky with his ::
:: twisted jazz organ and flamenco guitar samples. At the same time it provides a cool, ::
:: funny, nasty spaghetti-Western sentiment ± an affinity Mr. Statik already revealed ::
:: with a sly wink in his Toby Dreher Remix ôWestern von Gesternö. Tequila, please. ::
:: ::
:: On A2, ôA Cradle Of Smilesö serves up minimal, punching house with a fine, dubby ::
:: sound. Delay-constructs and slowly mutating sounds creep almost unnoticed into the ::
:: ear with a gloating grin and is finally discharged with unbridled mischievousness. ::
:: The click of the metronome is still completely underrated as a percussion sound. ::
:: ::
:: Flip over to B1, and ôDubbinezonö surges, not unlike the track before, within realms ::
:: of fluttery echoes and spacey tape delays that are just as fantastic, but with ::
:: decently restrained atmosphere. The thick motor functions develop quickly, both ::
:: braking and ::
:: ::
:: grinding ahead, and both appearing to struggle under high voltage for the dominance ::
:: of the track. It becomes clear, who has kept a step ahead: ôPoops, I Did It Againö ::
:: on ::

:: B2 pushes relentlessly further, with physicality and a reduction of the average ::
:: speed. ::
:: ::
:: The murky structure of the delay then illuminates itself and lets every efficient ::
:: point and every tonal detail shine brighter. ôConfessions of a Poisened Mindö must ::
:: remain exclusively as a digital release, contrary to Mr. Statik's completely ::
:: physical production ::

:: principles, and in this track a unique and exclusively used bass drum would have ::
:: destroyed the work table of any vinyl cutting machine. In the club this track will ::
