| Corvus is a project that began to emerge in early spring of 2008. |
| However, we can say it started long before that. Chad, who |
| spent most of his life immersed in music (starting with the |
| fiddle at 7, the guitar at 12 and then vocals shortly thereafter) |
| stepped out into the music scene in Ottawa during his time at |
| U of O playing open micÆs and small local venues. |
| |
| After some success Chad believed it was time to either join |
| an existing band or build one from the ground up. Over the |
| summer of 2007 Meisha responded to a post that Chad left on |
| SOUNDCHECK, a service for musicians looking for other musicians |
| hosted by 106.9 The Bear (now known as 106.9 Virgin). Some time |
| before meeting Chad through SOUNDCHECK, Meisha was studying |
| at Madawaska Valley District High School. Meisha's music |
| teacher Mark Robbins, with his creative encouragement helped |
| broaden his musical inspiration. |

| Upon hearing Meisha play, Chad knew Meisha would be a great |
| addition to the band. It was then that they began to jam and |
| write some of the early Corvus material. In the spring of 2008, |
| while on the lookout for a new bassist, Reg replied to a post |
| left by Chad over Kijiji. Reg, who has been in several bands |
| such as Code 8, 12 Oz and Canadian Cold Front was eager to start |
| something new. After spending a few years in the states, he |
| returned to Canada looking for a new music project to immerse |
| himself in. |

| Not long after that, while experimenting with several drummers, |
| Andrew became a perfect final piece to the band. Even though |
| Andrew is younger, he has a lot of experience playing in both |
| a live and studio setting. Before joining Corvus, Andrew |
| played for Young At Heart, a prominent band in the Ottawa |
| hardcore scene. |

| In early December, Corvus began to emerge on the scene playing |
| local venues like The Carleton Tavern and the Bytown Tavern. |
| It was also in the month of December that Corvus, with the |
| help of Jordon Zadorozny, at French Kiss Studios in Pembroke, |
| began recording a 6 track EP. Thanks to JordonÆs vast |
| knowledge and experience in the industry, he has helped |
| Corvus realize their recording dream. |

| Corvus will be releasing their first EP, Thirteen, to |
| the public May 2009. Corvus is a heavy alternative rock |
| band with a diverse sound compared to that of Audioslave, |
| Pearl Jam, Tool, Soul Asylum and Live. |
