A killer look at the Ricky Tick label -- headed up
by Japanese producer/DJ Kei Kobayashi, whose own
Routine imprint hosts the whole proceedings! The
collection features both contemporary jazz numbers
from Ricky Tick, plus some older 60s Scandinavian
jazz bits that are clearly inspiration for the
groundbreaking label -- the kind of jazz dance
numbers that have spawned the current club jazz
revival we love so much -- interspersed here by a
few "interlude" tracks of Kobayashi's own creation!
There's a very lively feel to the whole thing --
loads of upbeat jazz numbers that really keep
things interesting
