O.S.T. is Berlin's Christopher Douglas, an artist renowned for
trethinking techno archetypes throughout the course of his career,
winning the respect of critcs and fellow artists alike. Since his
debut release on Detroit's Switch imprint, Douglas has found
admirers in the likes of Autechre, who invited him to play as
part of their ATP line-up. Now, after being away from the music
scene for around five years, O.S.T. returns with a new album of
advanced soundscapes and 21st century gloom, at times approaching
death ambient shades of black, but without ever resorting to the
histrionics or spooky theatrics that genre tends to play up to.
Very highly recommended indeed.
