│Now on their fourth album release, Pressure DropÆs Dave Henley and │
│Justin Langlands return with another musical venture which draws on │
│similar influences to the duoÆs previous work, creating a electronic, │
│dub and ragga mash which has been topped with orchestral sounds. │
│However, it hasnÆt been all smooth sailing for the talented London-based │
│dance act - their first two albums only getting a minor release in Britain │
│due to the bandÆs record label folding, and this was even when │
│Pressure Drop were in demand. Now almost 10 years later and with │
│another fine musical experience up their sleeve, Pressure Drop return │
│with probably their finest material yet. │
│ │
│æTreadÆ is an extremely well produced musical masterpiece, │
│offering a host of varied vibes. It seems that Pressure Drop │
│have no problem fusing together various elements and influences, │
│managing to evenly blend smooth and soulful, funky sounds with harder │
│edged electronic sounds which thump and rumble. æWarrior SoundÆ, │
│æHip Hop FanaticÆ and æRhudeboy RhapsodyÆ provide the tougher vibes, │
│Pressure Drop creating sounds which will appeal to hip-hop, breakbeat, │
│ragga, and electro fans, even occasionally crossing over into garage │
│territory. │
│Other offerings range from soulful and mellow vibes to orchestral sounds │
│that are packed with atmosphere. │
│ │
│æTreadÆ is an incredibly original release for Pressure Drop whoÆve taken a │
│broad range of musical influences, ripped out the bits they donÆt want and │
│put them back together in their own distinctive style. Funky bass heavy │
│hip-hop and orchestrated sounds compliment the often chilled out, dub │
│like vibes of æTreadÆ. │
