Bulletdodge Records are proud to welcome Germanys Werner Niedermeier to
the roster. Now based in the UK, Werner will need no introduction to those
familiar with the European techno and minimal scene. Founder of massively
successful and influential Soul Camp and Audio Culture Recordings, Werner
brings a wealth of experience with over ten years as engineer, producer,
DJ, label boss and artist. His tunes are consistently backed and charted
by an impressive number of major techno players including Luciano, Tiefschwarz,
Anja Schneider, M.A.N.D.Y, Sasha,Thomas Schumacher, Konrad Black, Silicone
Soul, Audio Fly, Danny Tenaglia, Shlomi Aber, Luke Solomon, Deetron, X-Press 2
and Milton Jackson. His debut release on Bulletdodge is the fantastic 'Obvious'
supported by two storming remixes from Gareth Whitehead and My Evil Twiin.
Razor-sharp production and intelligent dynamics are Werners trademark and
'Obvious' is a fine example, using minimal grooves, swinging percussion and
throbbing analog synths to drive an eerie piece of sampled dialogue to a
psychedelic conclusion. The track is inherently Werner yet the producer has
provided a piece of deranged electronica that is classic Bulletdodge.
This is reinforced when 'Obvious' is given the Gareth Whitehead treatment.
A driving and menacing club monster, Gareths remix is a wall of bass-heavy
grooves cemented by funky high-hats, dub delays and signature ambient effects
resulting in a deep tech house alternative to the original. Niedermeiers
journey to the dark side is complete with My Evil Twiin providing a muscular
techno rework that retains key elements of the original yet releases its
energy in a far more aggressive fashion. Pulsing bass and cinematic percussion
are combined with dynamic rhythms to great effect, making this mix a perfect
addition to the original. Bulletdodge Records are delighted to have Werner
Niedermeier on-board and anticipate another success with 'Obvious', once again
combining the finest talent with a passion and vision for forward thinking
and modern music
