█ Release Info - Texas blues legend Long John █
█ HunterÆs first recording in five years was well █
█ worth the wait as it not only marks his return to █
█ the studio, but also introduces his younger blues █
█ brother Tom, a well-seasoned and satisfying █
█ singer and guitarist in his own right, to the █
█ blues world. █
█ █
█ With the Double Trouble rhythm section of bassist █
█ Tommy Shannon and drummer Chris Layton, ably █
█ assisted by keyboardist Nick Connolly and saxman █
█ Mark "Kaz" Kazanoff and his Texas Horns, █
█ providing strong, supple and sympathetic musical █
█ accompaniment the Hunters creatively cover the █
█ entire Texas blues landscape, past and present. █
█ █
█ The Hunter Brothers reprise some of Long JohnÆs █
█ classic material, debut several blues standards- █
█ to-be by Tom and wrap things up with an extended, █
█ upclose and personal track featuring just them, █
█ their guitars and their memories. ItÆs nothing █
█ less than a master class in Texas blues, █
█ enjoyably instructed by some of the best and █
█ brightest talents the lone star state has █
█ produced. █
█ █
█ He's back! Long John Hunter, the bordertown █
█ bluesman whose wild and crazy onstage antics █
█ during a decade of performing in Juarez made him █
█ a Texas-sized legend, has released his first █
█ studio recording in five years, "One Foot in █
█ Texas". █
█ █
█ The legendary Long John Hunter, joined by his █
█ blues brother Tom Hunter and backed by the Double █
█ Trouble rhythm section, made his overdue return █
█ to the recording studio one to remember, █
█ delivering a dozen first-class examples of █
█ veteran blues. █
█ █
█ For fans of real Texas blues this is as good as █
█ it gets! Long John Hunter is a legitimate legend █
█ and putting him in front of Stevie Ray's Double █
█ Trouble rhythm section was a great idea. Even █
█ better is the presence of his brother Tom "Blues █
█ Man" Hunter, a local legend in his own right on █
█ his East Texas home turf. Both are great singers █
█ and guitarists and each has a distinctive vocal █
█ and musical style. The title track (by Tom) is █
█ one of the best Texas blues songs in recent █
█ memory and all of Long John's songs are gems. Add █
█ a great horn section on some of the songs (and █
█ harmonica hero Gary Primich blowing up a storm) █
█ and it's quite simply the quintessential Texas █
█ blues album. █
█ █
█ WUS gonna deliver to you quality forever and █
█ ever! █
█ █
█ -+ WUS Italian Mafioso Shines through your █
█ doorsteps! █

█ When the egos arose and things got caught into █

█ So we left! █
█ █
█ Now on board of our vessel filled up with rebel █

█ seas and taking parts in shady cargo exchanges █
█ and wild sex parties on hot caribbean beaches █
█ drinking rhum ... █
█ █
█ Washed Up Sceners is composed of the elite █
█ warriors of the past, who have all come from all █
█ walks of the underground. We are a boat that █
█ strives in bringing the humbleness of true █
█ friendship while releasing the floods of █
█ deserving music that would generally be held down █
█ by greedy merchants. █
█ █
█ As the story unfolds and the years pass by, █
█ you will all come to know what we are about █

█ Earth to rape, pillage and conquer... █
