       This the debut EP from the DTTS collective, MCÆs Bane, Mr KFQ and Mury
       Poppinz, with production provided by Bane & Deadboy and feat cuts from
       Gypsy.Its presnted as a 10? Blue Vinyl and really stands out. The title
       track of the EP Disabled Blue has a really nice laid back, soul sampled
       melody with some noteworthy cuts. The MCÆs drop some satisfying lines ôI
       create rhymes that cater for the colour blindö yet the mastering of the
       track has me messing with my EQÆs to bring the vocals up.

       Next track is Purple, and for me the stand out track of the EP the
       mastering seems a bit better on this offering with another laid back beat
       with a simple organ, string rises and a jazzy snare. The MCÆs deliver
       some great rhymes about the state of our society where people are chasing
       the material and seem to be forgetting about the simple things in life.
       More intelligent lyics from the mcÆs are laid down, and I canÆt help but
       nod my head. This track alone could be a 12? release with an instrumental
       version on the B side.Ultimately we are left with Blood Lust, using a
       warped sample from a horror movie, I thought the needle was skipping as
       it didnÆt seem to kick in, then the MC dropped his bars and the same
       repetitive and disenchanting sample remained. I really couldnÆt get into
       this track it was probably the one I was looking forward to most as 7
       MCÆs were to tear this one up but I just couldnÆt get past that sample
       and the production. It really detracted from the performance of the MCÆs
       an again the mastering issues are back.

       As a debut release I think that the DTTS ladÆs can take alot from this
       EP, they can put together some really good laid back beats with well
       executed cuts and the MCÆs have the thought provoking lyrics IÆve come to
       expect from northern mcÆs - yet a little bit more time and money spent on
       the recording and back end prouction would really have made this
       reasonable EP, a truly stand out EP.
