HARALD "SACK' ZIEGLER
was born in 1961 in Berlin but has been based in Cologne since 1986.
Having studied orchestral music in Frankfurt, where his main
instrument was the French horn, since 1986 Ziegler has gone on to
work in television and radio stations as a music corrector. In 1979
he started to compose and perform his own music and became involved
in the 80s tape scene during which time he published more than 30
solo tapes and contributed to over 100 compilation tapes with
worldwide distribution in editions of 100-300 copies. These days,
Harald Ziegler is presenting his own material (including a very cool
booklet of lyrics) on CD and vinyl including the albums 'Hoeren Sie
Zu', 'Brick', and the Doc Wûr Mirran collaboration
'Parp/Phlegmboyant'.
for Audio Dregs he collaberated with E*Rock on music and art for a 3"
CD EP with mini comic book entitled Mind As Master.

E*Rock is the founder of Portland based Audio Dregs Recordings,
publisher of Thumb zine and a widely published visual artist and
illustrator. After several years in the making E*Rock delivers his
long awaited debut CD.
His sound is colorful and highly melodic electronic music formed from
a variety of instruments and sound sources including: guitar, flute,
synthesizers, live percussion, field recordings, and toy instruments.
His production maintains an organic quality not unlike that of his
brother E*Vax. The music flows with a acoustic-electric methodology,
at times very abstract, constantly deconstructing, but always with an
underlying pop sensibility.
E*Rock has previously released a collaborative EP with Harald "Sack"
Ziegler (Staubgold, Mouse on Mars, Tomlab) and an album with his
other "group" Carpet Musics (Audio Dregs), as well having made at
least half a dozen compilation appearances in the past year. In
addition E*Rock has produced soundtracks for dozens of projects by
New York animator Mumbleboy, including a piece displayed last
December in Grand Central Station.
