A cut above the generic space disco malaise of recent years, Cosmic Balaeric
Beats established an instant reputation for discerning quality with the release
of volume one, much lauded by media and tastemakers alike. Fusing dreamy sunset
melodies with blissed out disco reminiscent of the genius of David Mancuso, the
second edition is even more brilliant with the utmost care and attention poured
into digging out a rare and totally exclusive collection of timeless, genre
defying music. Featuring tracks and mixes from Hot Toddy, Roberto Rodriguez,
Mugwump, Social Disco Club and a host of other as yet undiscovered, underground
talent, CBB 2 undulates through restrained, mellow grooves, cosmic house and
heady end of night euphoria. Combined with stunning art and a bonus disc of full
length, unmixed versions, Cosmic Balaeric Beats 2 is a contender for 2009 s most
engaging mix and destined to arrive in many of this years Best of lists come
December.
