drumagick is a drum&bass project from sπo paulo formed by the
brothers jr deep and guilherme lopes. estabilished in sπo paulo,
they have been producing since 1996 and they are part of the first
generation of drum&bass producers alongside other djs/producers as
xrs, marky and patife. in 2000 the duo signed with trama/sambaloco
records and released their first album titeld ôai malucoö. in
september 2002 they left the label releasing their last work with
trama/sambaloco records: the 12ö ôeasy boom/funquiadaö of which
the a-side contained a sample from a jorge ben song. the single
has globally received critical acclaim from djs and music lovers
and was also featured on gilles petersonÆs compilation worldwide
part ii. ômalandragemö and ômaltaö are probably the next tracks to
see the light of day through the djs turntables. although both
tracks have been produced between december 2001 and january 2002
they still are in a league of their own. they show a perfect blend
of drum&bass with brazilian vibes from a drumagick point of view.
the first track ômalandragemö has the vibe and groove of samba of
the 70Æs and the second ômaltaö is a drumagick rmx for one of the
new generation bossa nova musicians: leandro bonfim. together the
drumagick due have been running - for almost three years know û a
dj-ing & producing school in sπo paulo. already 200 people from
all over brasil have graduated at this school.
