Clone initiate another sub-label, this time dedicated to an
offshoot project of the Heinrich Mueller / Dopplereffekt spectrum.
On these two Zerkalo EPs Mueller works with Victoria Lucas, whose
arid vocals appeared on the shadowy Black Replica tracks available
through their myspace. Of course, this is only speculation as very
little info has been released with this record, but check the
samples and guess for yourself. On Part I of 'Stoi Storoni
Zerkala' the pair craft a sound in thrall to the richness of pure
synthesizer tones and stark machine rhythms, unadorned by
unnecessary FX and conjuring imagery of Chris & Cosey producing
the soundtrack to some unknown 80s Russian film noir. It's not as
conceptually high brow as the recent Dopplereffekt material but
should satisfy your darker cravings. Ace!
