This comprehensive English-language chronicle of the Hong Kong action cinema
investigates its two primary subgenres, the martial arts film and the
gunplay-heavy gangster movie. These types of films are explored through

Horrible quality transfer with maybe 100 different aspect ratios. Source film
is mangled, and apparently VHS transfer to DVD. Who knows how many/what frame
rates this has been converted to.
We would have tagged iNTERNAL but figure this is a nice, hard to find Kung Fu
docu that many would enjoy.
No external subtitles are present. Video has some sections where foreign
dialogue are hard subbed on docu transfer.
