TODAY, on 10/21/2002, a Team TLT member decided to leave
the team for undisclosed reasons. Ignoring the sprit TLT
built up over the years, ignoring the team manifesto, he
decided to drop releases under the name of "-DAC", still
being added as TLT. He did not inform The Team (except
me) of his plans.
I feel betrayed. Because not only did HE quit, he also
dragged along two of our rippers.
At first, I wondered about their reasons. I asked myself
whether I would leave a team that played a major role in
my life. And I came to the conclusion that I would never
let my team down. Call me a fanatic - for I am one.
I'm still attempting to understand what has drawn you
away, G**. My guess? Greed. Back then, when we started
up, Team TLT meant fun, friendship and a bunch of funky
guys to back you up. With success came damnation. Perso-
nally, I think you got greedy, G**. Our affiliations did
not fulfill your personal wishes though you claim it was
not the reason you left. I say it was.
There is one major misconception in your thoughts. We've
always been doing this for the fun. We've always been a
small team, releasing for the sheer love of modern music
and not for monstrous download rates.
Maybe, one day, you'll grow old enough to understand why
I'm so dissapointed. Maybe, one day, you and DAC will be
where we are now. I do not say you'll fail. But I do say
that you have to keep in mind that you let a team down.
A team you used to call your team. A team which used to
back you up in return. And backstabbing your team is far
worse than a thousand fucked up releases.
You decided. You have to bear the consequences. I really
hope you can face 'em.
Along with G**, another two rippers decided to jump off.
D***a, who has been with us for quite a lot of time, and
[***], who had just recently passed his trial. Well, OK.
[***] quit because D***a quit - he brought him in. I can
get that. But why did YOU leave, D***a? Another one who
thinks he can reap the rewards of TLTs fame and backstab
us when we least expect it. My bet: He joined G** on his
quest for more stuff.
In all the time you spent with us you never noticed that
Team TLT is not all about downloading shit. We are doing
releases for the love of it, for the fun of it - not for
the profit of it.
You decided to leave. For whatever reason. Maybe we were
not big enough. Maybe it was because we have our own IRC
for security's sake - but no dump. Maybe it was because
you could not big up yourself with a daily dosis of iso.
If so, I'm glad you dropped out.
Because this is not what we are about.
This is not what we are here for.
If the three of you did not realize
that Team TLT means friendship, not fast ftp
