New album from Scottish outsider musician Bill Wells & Maher Shalal
Hash Baz, one of the most interesting Japanese groups of the
contemporary era. Entitled µ Gok╞, the album comes out on Geographic on
4th May 2009.

Fascinated by Maher╞s music and recognising kindred spirits, Bill was
able to travel to Japan in 2004, funded in part by the Scottish Arts
Council, to record with this incredible group. The studio where they
recorded is called GOK and the music is magical, melodic, sometimes
spontaneous, sometimes composed, uplifting and always slightly odd.
Bill considers many of these compositions his µgreatest hits╞ and he is
currently working on a follow-up record with many of the Maher
musicians.
