Originally from Hawskbury, Ontario, Rick L. Blues
grew up in Tres-Saint-Redempteur, near Montreal,
surrounded by a family devoted to music. He started
singing as a child, began playing piano at eight
years old and formed his first band at age 15.
Having tried his hand at multiple instruments, he
adopted the harmonica. A bluesman respectful of
tradition, he usually performs with a vintage
microphone and amp. In spring 2009, the harmonica
player and singer released his fourth album, Back
to the Roots With Friends, inspired by a trip to
Mississippi.
