her debut solo release for Jus-Ed's Underground Quality imprint.
Alongside fellow Muscovite Anton Zap, Nina is one of a small handful
of producers in Russia making disco electronics with a rich seam of
inspiration from Chicago and New York house music. On 'Your Gonna Be
Mine' NIna creates economically minimal but subtly insistent house
rhythms comparable to Cassy, while on 'Free' she crafts glorious
synthline alleviations with an emotional quality to enrich the life
of any 'floor before hooking up with Jus-Ed on 'CPT' for a groovy cut
driven by cushioned keys and snapping handclaps. Nina is certainly
one watch for any fans of Tama Sumo, Levon Vincent or Prosumer or
lovers of authentic nu-deep house with character.
