│ Shiva In Exile is the solo project of Stefan Hertrich, vocalist of the │
│ German bands Darkseed and Betray my Secrets and in the music business │
│ since ten years. │
│ │
│ The debut album is called "Ethnic" and contains 14 dark ambient/ethno │
│ songs. Stefan Hertrich used atmospheric and powerful synth, percussive │
│ instruments, various electronic sound effects, loops and female/male │
│ vocals from all over the world, including Nepalese shaman percussion │
│ recorded by the German author Dr. phil. Christian Raetsch who lived in │
│ the Rain forest for many years and regularily visits exotic countries. │
│ You can hear Arab, Indian, Malaysian, Native canadian and Thai vocals, │
│ surrounded by dark and melancholic synth atmospheres. │
│ │
│ The album was professionally mixed by Christian Bystron, guitarist of │
│ Megaherz and Betray my Secrets who also influenced this album with │
│ several loops from his personal treasure box. │

│ Shiva In Exile is a journey echoed by simple world rhythms and │
│ resounding through an ambient backdrop.Ethnic takes our ears to lead us │
│ back to a land still buried deep within our heart. With rhythms forged │
│ by the hand of a forgotten shaman, and melodies spun of vocal silk, may │
│ we present to you a forgotten Dance. Shiva In Exile is an almost gothic │
│ expanse, however, warm with the vocals and instruments of distant lands │
│ that bring you a vision of Akasha. │
