This Time We Bring You,
"The Jeevas - 1 2 3 4"
Crispian Mills, the mouthpiece of cosmic fruitcakes Kula
Shaker, walks among us once more and hes brought his brand
new band The Jeevas with him. The peasants, pigs and
astronauts get left at home, alas. Instead, his loopy Ray
Davies-like lyricism gets bolted onto retro rock riffs
untouched since Urge Overkill. No sooner has a verse ended
than a Cadillac-sized chorus reverses into the back of it.
Songs even get titles like "Once upon a time in America", so
we suspect that Crispians favourite film has changed from
Excalibur to Easy Rider. Its great stuff. Looks like
windscreen rock n roll just got its sense of humour.
