At twenty-four years old, Nemanja Radulovic is certainly the
most outstanding and radiant violinist of his generation.
A supercharged atmosphere, worthy of a rock concert for a
classical violinist:
It was Friday night (October 16) at the Europeen with Nemanja
Radulovic and his band The Devil's Trill.
At the FNAC, their album has reached a peak position #2 after
Cecilia Bartoli, showing the publics enthusiasm!
Their success can certainly be explained by their clever mix
of casualness and glow.
It is a sonata by Giuseppe Tartini, The Devil's Trill, which
inspired their name.
But they are equally comfortable with Schubert and
Tchaikovsky.
Nemanja certainly is not the devil but the wizard of the
group with his rocker look, his long curly hair falling on
his shoulders.
Originally from Serbia, but arrived in Paris at the age of
14, he followed the curriculum of the Conservatoire de la
Villette before being ôdiscoveredö one evening in the Salle
Pleyel, when replacing the Russian violin star, Maxim
Vengerov in the Beethoven concerto. Since then, the sincerity
of his imaginative and dazzling performances ignites his
listeners.
Apart from his solo recitals, Nemanja is pursuing a career in
chamber music with his five fellow members - four men and a
girl from a different training-, the Illico quartet joined by
bassist Stanislas Kuchinsky. Their originality is, so to
speak, to strip music with enthusiasm and heart.
Given the crowd at Friday evenings concert, two extra dates
were added in Paris after their tour in January.
