/_____\ CDBOX: US 1998 (AV 9001-7/8) [January 1999] - IN PRINT: NO
With a career spanning multiple decades, venerable Alphaville continue
to appeal to fans of historic and modern synth alike. The ultimate fan
collection, "Dreamscapes" allows an extensive and unique look into
their musical mastery.
From the Alphaville official web site:
"Dreamscapes" is an anthology comprising of eight cds, 125 songs
and an absolute playing time of about 9 1/2 hours - including a 65 page
booklet! Not a single song featured on Dreamscapes has been heard before
in this form. Dreamscapes also includes a complete live album (CD 4).
43 songs have never been released before at all, that is almost as many
songs as the band has released on all its studio albums. In other words,
Dreamscapes contains the equivalent of four brand-new albums plus a
further four of demo versions, unknown remixes, rare live recordings,
all the flip-sides and band-internal experiments. This universe covers
the period of 1978 to 1998 A.D.
As a bonus we have included the track "Elevator (MF Remix '99)", which
was exclusive to the European version of the compilation
"Mix, Rinse, & Spin Part 2" (1999). Special thanks to the supplier, you
know who you are!
To all those who were patiently waiting for this release to complete the
4 part set, my sincere apologies for the delay. Look for Dreamscapes
parts 1-3, previously released by us. Enjoy this quality rip from AMOK,
working hard to provide you the finest! - Insomn1ac/AMOK

"Amok" [eller Amσck]
Mordraseri hos malajer. Ansσgs ursprungligen bero pσ psykiska rubbningar
men anses nu vara en rituell form av sjΣlvmord.
AnvΣnds hos oss vanligen i uttrycket 'l÷pa Amok' eller 'Vara rasande'
ATTENTiON: There is currently a 0day group operating under the name "AmoK"!
These individuals (mostly re-releasing cracks for the "webscene") are
in NO WAY releated with AMOK and we expect 0day staff to nuke their
releases as "fake" wherever uploaded!
MORAL DiSCLAiMER: We are very aware of the fact that our releases
contibute to the growing sale losses of record companies.
Unfortunately our style primarily targets small, independent labels
that need sales to survive.
If you know the market you┤ve noticed that "Off Beat" already died,
"Zoth Ommog" is writing red turnovers; as do many other small labels
dedicated to Electro/Industrial/Goth.
We highly encourage you to buy this album if you like the rip:
With average sales of 1ooo-7ooo presses/album worldwide, neither
artists nor labels get "rich" in this genre.
YOUR support is required to keep them financially alive and producing!
