▓ ▓
▓ From the ubiquitous budget tenor/organ club combos of ▓
▓ the early 50's, via such milestones as Bill Doggett's ▓
▓ "Honky Tonk", Booker T & The Mg's "Green Onions" and ▓
▓ Jimmy McGriff's "I Got A Woman", the orgn ran second ▓
▓ only to the electric guitar as pop's main sound. "So ▓
▓ Blue, So Funky" represents a state-of-the-art ▓
▓ celebration of that moment of emancipation when Blue ▓
▓ Note's Alfred Lion threw open the bar, upped the ▓
▓ decibel count and invited everyone to party. ▓
