what an incredibly appropriate title for a & e. for their first
effort after their full-length, jesika and justin come correct with
their unique dark hinted electro twangs surrounded by looped samples
and weaved into one giant package. for the same reasons i loved
'bionic vagina' and other cuts on their first skam 12", "double
entendre" possesses the same playful spirit, where it's not taking
itself too seriously, but can still successfully deliver a highly
enjoyable release. stutter steps abound on 'introduction to the
opposites', with a famillair, monty python-esque tune being ripped up
and re-programmed. 'let's begin now' breaks it off with lots of
'party people' samples over some thick creepy tones and beats. as the
roll-call, the shit works. distorted, fucked up digitali cross bred
with tons of samples and midi melodies abound. 'albino love' is a
great sample from "gummo". (you'll know it when you hear it, but it
fits right in). another quality release from both a&e and consumers -
