- Release Notes ------------------------------------------------------------- -

When asked what influenced her music most, Lindsay Fuller reflects on the place
where it all began. ôThe south is a crazy land of over zealous housewives,
double-wides, well-socialized roaches, missing molars, old money mint julep,
moonshine, shoeshine, dirt the color of red crayola, slow speak, storytelling,
and whole host of other things a person would or wouldnÆt want to imagine. IÆm
glad I grew up there even if it almost killed me.ö She picked up a guitar when
she was 8, but it wasnÆt until summers spent at an all-girls camp in the
foothills of the Appalachians in Northern Alabama that she learned the value of
a well-written song.
Years later, while living in Texas, Lindsay met Jonathan Meiberg (Okkervil
River, Shearwater) and recorded her first album, Avalanche Debris, with him in
1999. Lindsay currently lives in Seattle where sheÆs teamed up with
producer/musician Matt Brown and recorded both Keeping Time with My Achilles
Heel in 2006 and her newly (summer of 2009) release Lindsay Fuller and The
Cheap Dates. Lindsay says sheÆll always try to write songs with an emphasis on
words. ôI hate small talk, but I love a good story. IÆve always had a bit of an
obsession with the macabre. Death is a final strip search. Where have you been,
who have you loved, how many moles do you have? Maybe itÆs about as honest as
we get.ö
