       Despite choosing a name that makes them sound like a US
       gangsta group, Dax Riders are instead the latest
       disco-house band to emerge from France, following in the
       well trodden footsteps of Daft Punk, Kojak and the rest.
       That vocoder vocals layered over filtered house is
       nowadays the blueprint behind all French dance music, is
       indeed a little strange, though where Dax Riders differ
       is by being a proper band. Emphasising their love of
       live performance and display, they regularly play live
       for 2 hours or more and also appear happy to project
       themselves as stars. As the band put it themselves; it's
       'full of that oh-so-French electrified, bass-heavy
       sound, but with more funk than a whiff of Tony Blair's
       armpit'.
