│Autumn Calls is a very fruitful ambient collaboration between                 │
│artist-musician Tor Lundvall and Tony Wakeford of Sol Invictus.               │
│Tor aimed to reflect the Autumnal imagery and atmosphere of his               │
│native New England, and the basis of this album is his. Tony                  │
│elaborated on Tor's mixes with elements of his own and assistance             │
│from Sol associates Sarah Bradshaw, Matt Howden, Eric Roger,                  │
│JaufrΘ Darroux and Sowila. Tor's keyboard music and Tony's                    │
│neo-classical orchestration combine to produce a style which is               │
│for the most part quite distinct from their separate efforts. The first       │
│part of the album plays imaginatively with some interesting sounds            │
│and effects but this approach is gradually superseded by one more             │
│reminiscent of L'Orchestre Noir. This imbues the album with classical         │
│depth and development which strongly distinguishes it from the                │
│ephemeral character of so much other ambient music.                           │
