all-encompassing sets. Volume 7 craftily encapsulates the two sides of the
steadily matured scene, Chef taking the traditonalist "truecore" angle, and
Ramadanman collecting the more progressive and peripheral cuts. Chef's set
deftly blends 34 mammoth halfstep killers from big names like Skream, LD,
Silkie, Benga, Cluekid, Cyrus, Von D, Distance, Trolley Snatcha and the
rest, including more dubs than you can shake an ass at. Meanwhile,
Ramadanman sets out the swing functions with forward leaning pressure from
Mickey Pearce, Footsie, Martyn, Peverelist, RSD, D1, James Blake, Pangaea,
Untold and too many others to mention, drawing sharp distinctions between
future garage techno, mutant Funky and house-slicked steppers. For our
2p it's the best mix since Kode9's vol.3 and should be at the top of your
