░  Recordings for Seaplane's debut album "Technical Difficulties" commenced   ░
░  in the second half of 2004. Engineer/Producer Quentin Brown at Latrobe     ░
░  Studios pushed the band to organise and build their songs from scratch     ░
░  with his preferred method of pre-production, followed by conventional      ░
░  production and post production steps. However, during the recording        ░
░  process it rapidly became evident that Seaplane didn't suit                ░
░  pre-production very well and felt much more comfortable when playing       ░
░  together, live and spontaneous in one room.                                ░

░  They rapidly recorded 16 songs - with half of the album recorded live in   ░
░  one day. Quentin used a minimalist production approach to add value to     ░
░  the songs, dragging the band in occasionally to add a guitar part or       ░
░  vocal line. His sympathetic ear for the character of the songs in the      ░
░  mixing process resulted in the retention of the Seaplane character, while  ░
░  providing a more polished and accessible feel than on their previous       ░
░  recordings.                                                                ░

░  The album's eleven tracks reflect Seaplane's varied personal tastes and    ░
░  range from indie flavour of the title track, Technical Difficulties,       ░
░  rockin' riffs and snaking lead of I'm Awake, to the slowly building and    ░
░  atmospheric (Red Bones). The album also features four instrumental tracks  ░
░  that include the energy of Driving the Dynamite Truck to the blissful      ░
░  last track, Sleeping Injury.                                               ░
