Release Notes:
The proverbial offspring of the Folk Era's hush-hushed
intermingling with sadcore-grunge harlots and geishas. After two
years of musical inactivity following the breakup of his former
child youngfolk, the dawning of 2004 brought upon a feeling of
rejuvenation as richard lann confidently walked back into the
world of writing and performing, under his childhood namesake of
thomas/richard.
thomas/richard has since then shared the stage with - wintersleep,
jill barber, xiu xiu, the microphones, kary, ermine, the burdocks,
alive and living,
folds of policy, heavy meadows, brian borcherdt, contrived, the
holy shroud, the joggers, benn ross, the sleepless nights, !kung
san, and many other lovely people.
The first studio effort & also his sleepless debut, titled 'i just
wanted to be sure of you' was released march 3rd, 2005 at the
Khyber club in halifax.
currently thomas/richard is working on new material both solo and
with his new band featuring aaron wallace(drums) & matt
macdonald(bass).
with a 7" split EP with the sleepless nights to be released before
xmas 2005.
