▓████▓▌ After the release of my debute album "Piranesi's ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Rome" (MFSW/ Konkurrent) in march 2001, I wanted to ▓▌
▓████▓▌ accomplish two things. One: a seperation of ▓▌
▓████▓▌ songwriting and experimental music. Two: record a ▓▌
▓████▓▌ true singer-songwriter album. I longed for writing ▓▌
▓████▓▌ songs at the piano or with my guitar on my lap ▓▌
▓████▓▌ aigain. The new album had to be acoustic, plain and ▓▌
▓████▓▌ simple and an exercise in form and lyric. Now, I ▓▌
▓████▓▌ look back, I think Jacky the Stripper did all that. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ The songs all came into existence in different ▓▌
▓████▓▌ way's. A lot of songs exist both as guitar and ▓▌
▓████▓▌ piano version. I also experimented a lot with ▓▌
▓████▓▌ alternate tuning and slide guitar. That way I ▓▌
▓████▓▌ bumped into some surprises that really worked for ▓▌
▓████▓▌ the songs. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ Lyric wise there's progress on Jacky the Stripper. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ The lyrics are longer, the content's clearer, more ▓▌
▓████▓▌ colourful and poetic. ▓▌
▓████▓▌ After a year and a half I had enough songs to put ▓▌
▓████▓▌ together an album. Thirteen songs in total. Except ▓▌
▓████▓▌ one song I have written them all myself. I recorded ▓▌
▓████▓▌ the songs in my bedroom, which was a very ▓▌
▓████▓▌ comfortable way of working. Sometimes I had to redo ▓▌
▓████▓▌ a recording, because the microphone picked up the ▓▌
▓████▓▌ neighbours' dog. Duffhuδs ▓▌
