Those waiting patiently for a new Lali Puna record (the follow up to 2001's
magical Scary World Theory) will, unfortunately, have to wait a little while
longer. In the mean time, though, Ms. Trebeljahr and company have seen fit to
provide a twelve inch record single for release on Morr Music. The record, which
will be available June 2, 2003, will be entitled "Left Handed" and feature the
title cut on one side and "Together in Dreams," a Human League cover, which the
band recorded a few years back, on the other side. So, yes, you're essentially
getting one new song, but you've got to take what you can get, I suppose.
Among other news filtering out of the Lali Puna camp, it seems that Florian
Zimmer, who was responsible for a great deal of the keyboard and sampling work,
has left the band recently in order to purse his ISO 86 project, which will be
touring in Germany with Calexico in the second half of the month.
