: All Day", incredible upbeat power pop/indie/emo type :
: stuff, so good.. a classic maybe.. :
: Anyhow, Chisel broke up and Ted Leo put out an album :
: and an ep and now this is his second album. His first :
: album was a bunch of really shitty experimental dub :
: type songs.. The ep was more rocking and almost mathy :
: sounding stuff, was real nice. And now this, this is :
: more straight forward, very rock n rollish. Some :
: influences I picked up on might be John Lennon, Husker :
: Du, Elvis, lots of Mod stylings in there.. haven't :
: really got to decide what I think of this album yet, :
: but it's real nice to here Ted Leo's voice again. The :
: album was recording by Brendan Canty of FUGAZI, and :
: actually the recording kind of sounds nasty, vocals are :
: a little too high (even though I love this Leo's :
: voice). :
: Also, this album doesn't come out till the 19th, so :
: enjoy it almost two weeks early. :
: Another thing about this album, it has ugliest album :
: cover i've ever seen... I want to know what the hell :
: they were thinking.. I was tempted to include a scan to :
: show the world how ugly it is but then it would really :
: turn you away from it. :
