Mas is the first live band to be
released from Flyrec, and is based
around the leader of the group, Tatsuya
Yamada. After numerous live shows and
sessions, the band's instrumentation has
come to incorporate bass, trumpet,
drums, sax, Chinese fiddle, and
computer. "turn" is an album of 10 songs
featuring a diverse array of guests such
as Tujiko Noriko of Mego/Tomlab, Miroque
of 360'/ cachamai, and Tetsuro Yasunaga
of Minamo. Their expansive live playing
and detailed edits create an emotional
and driving world of sound.
