Elada started with Mel and Adam meeting in Adam's
kitchen to write songs very quietly late at night.
After a while they decided to move out of the
kitchen and play with a rock and roll drummer. This
worked out well and it was decided that with Aaron
playing drums we would be a band. We called it
Elada, an unfair name, but we were all tired of
band name banter, so we let it stay. After writing
some songs we decided to record them and that
became our seven-inch record with Grow Up Dead and
Twenty Below on it. Many months later we were
watching a very good show at the 7th Street Entry
and we decided we needed a bass player. Our old
friend Sarah was at the show and we asked her if
she knew anyone who would fit well with us and she
said, "Me." We gave it a try and it has worked out
very well ever since. So, now Elada is more or less
a regular rock band. We have two guitarists who
sing their songs, a bassist, and a drummer. We have
recorded our first full CD called Suspensory. We
hope you like it.
