WOW!! The title of Evan's second pop masterpiece is rather appropriate. His
self-titled gem of a debut was recorded when he was only 18 years old, and, in
the time that has passed from now until then he has "transitioned" into a 21
year old man! Citing his influences as The Beatles, Jon Brion, The Zombies,
Harry Nilsson, Jellyfish, Burt Bacharach and Jason Falkner (among others), this
now 21-year old (with exquisite taste, we might add) songwriter has unleashed
his sophomore effort to the world of pop! Now he has taken the "ball of pop" he
begun carrying with his first album and is "running" - no, make that "sprinting"
- with it on this record! "There is nothing more exciting than finding a new
artist who knocks the musical ball so far out of the park on the first pitch
that it makes his career right off the bat. He sings with a maturity that
singers twice his age don`t always have, and is an accomplished writer. This is
seriously great stuff, the stuff of a legend in the making, as catchy as catchy
can be, and please remember that you heard it here first. His talent is more
than evident; it drips, in fact, out of every pore of this album, recorded like
a charm with each instrument clear as a bell and the stereo soundfield perfectly
balanced. Anyone wanting to see how it`s done, look no further than the amazing
Evan Hillhouse!" - Alan Haber/buhdge.com We agree Alan! Wonderfully sung,
written and played! Will appeal to fans of his aforementioned influences along
with artists like Jon Brion and Chris Brown! A young man whose career potential
is limitless in our book! GREAT!!!
