: Australia, She however followed her parents back to New :
: Zealand at the age of 1, to Mt Cook, then on to :
: Wellington. She attended primary school in Upper Hutt :
: until the age of 12, where she excelled in gymnastics :
: among other activities. :

: Then again followed her parents to Christchurch, where :
: she finished off her schooling, during which time she :
: became involved with acting, theatre, and drama, which :
: became a huge part of her life. :
: :
: She made her Television debut, at 16 yrs, modeling 18th :
: century cloths, I believe a spin-off from a local :
: performance. :
: :
: Tanya would often be seen in plays and performances :
: around Christchurch, in this area she became a star in :
: her own right, always taking a lead roll, and :
: performing with everything she had, this also included :
: singing, where I believe everyone discovered that :
: underneath it all, there was a natural voice just :
: waiting to come forth. She also had a very keen :
: interest in different musical instruments. :

: Tanya around the age now of 20, decided she wanted to :
: spread her wings and fly, so moved to Auckland to :
: attend Natural Medicine, but for some strange reason :
: ended up acting, and auditioning for various parts, :
: here she found success, rolls in short films, and her :
: 1st roll in a television program, Shortland Street. :

: Having now mastered the Guitar, she started writing her :
: own music, and lyrics, from which came about playing at :
: a number of venues around Auckland, this was quite a :
: success for her, and decided to put together an all :
: girl band, calling themselves "GROWLER", this seems to :
: of had an affect on people, and Gigs filled up quickly, :
: the band was then taken on tour, which was a tremendous :
: success with plenty of publicity, but eventually the :
: band parted, and Tanya went it alone, believing in :
: herself. :

: Acting still played a huge part in her life, and was :
: soon auditioning for parts, and was rewarded with her :
: break in The House of Travel add, and from there :
: managed to secure other Television parts, here as well :
: as in Australia, BUT her music stayed in her :
: background, and constantly let her know it was there :
: and to do something about it. :

: Tanya wanted to use a name that was different, and the :
: name Marvey King held great meaning to her, so decided :
: that this name was hers to use as an artist and :
: musician. And really I believe the name itself say's :
: something about the artist, its quite a powerful name. :

: Tanya decided to put pen to paper, fingers to the :
: chords, and lyrics to music, the rest is then history, :
: she has had a huge success with her 1st release, :
: Rosary, which is gathering huge airtime on radio as :
: well as Juice TV. :
