│ Better than even we imagined, 55,000 music fans per day ││
│ partied in the sunshine, as Balado near Kinross cranked up ││
│ temperatures of 82 degrees over the weekend. ││

│ From its beginnings at Strathclyde Country Park in 1994, T ││
│ in the Park has grown in size and influence to become one ││
│ of the most important and critically acclaimed music ││
│ events on the UK and European festival scenes, and is ││
│ firmly established as ScotlandÆs most popular weekend out. ││

│ Now set in the lush Scottish countryside of Balado near ││
│ Kinross, T in the Park has just had its 10th Birthday ││
│ year and is consistently a sell out success, attracting ││
│ over 55,000 music lovers from Scotland and the UK each ││
│ day. This popularity can be attributed to the festivalÆs ││
│ unique party atmosphere, and also to the fact that it has ││
│ one of EuropeÆs most exciting lineups with over 100 bands ││
│ and artists playing seven stages, from the finest unsigned ││
│ talent to world-wide stars. ││

│ Slam DJÆs Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle have been ││
│ together since 1988, when they made their first excursion ││
│ in a dark smoky basement in a Glasgow club. They combined ││
│ their passion for early Chicago house, Detroit techno and ││
│ funk, to introduce Glasgow to ScotlandÆs first acid house ││
│ night. ││
