This dynamic four piece Perth based, hip hop group, are another example
of Aussie artists taking the reins and leading the way for other great
Australian talent.
ôDownsydeö began their versatile career in 1996 when the average age of
the group was a mere 16. Since then they have captured the hip-hop
audience with their skilfully versatile sets. They have maintained their
loyalty to Australia by hanging on to the ever recognisable ôAussie twangö,
which other Australian hip hop artist seem to have
left behind.
Their debut LP release, ôEpinonimousö released in 2000, was a local and
underground success. The tracks embodied cultural and youth orientated
subjects that seem to have captivated a large and varied audience base.
They have supported some of todayφs most prominent bands including,
ô28 daysö, ô1200 Techniquesö and also the ever-popular ôPublic Enemyö.
Downsyde have also played at ôVibes On A Summerφs Dayö in 2000 and
2001 and also Big Day out.

by groups who would refuse to release anything but current
year music.Well since that time we have been rocking the
scene with classic rock rips.We have made classic music
mainstream in the scene and have been on top in that area as
the number one group in classic rips. We finished 2001 with
3800 rips.As we moved forward in 2002 we found we were also
releasing alot of quality 2k2 rips and saw that we were competing
in that area.In 2002 we finished with over 5000 rips.In 2003 we
plan to move forward and continue to release "THE NEW STUFF" and
strive to be on top in 2k3 rips.We will also continue to remain
