Big moves from the restless Mindset label, offering yet another killer debut,
this time from AnD, backed with a shocking derivΘ from dubstep rave heroes
16Bit. Bubbling up from the fertile Manchester underground, AnD make a hugely
impressive entrance with 'Nebulos', sounding like Aux88 jacked by Data and
overseen by T++, programming a swung steppers syncopation somewhere between
electro, tech-step and futurist techno. On the flip, 16Bit's 'Serum' is
guaranteed to shock a few heads who've become accustomed to their brutalist
rave anthems, providing a visceral thrill of sheer bass drops and widescreen
dub spaces with post garage-industrialist percussion and a pneumatic bottom
end like some hyperventilating Untold production. Very smart 12".
