    ▓        The Himalayan Project was founded in 1994 by members         ▓
    ▓        Rainman and Chee Malabar. Their style can best be            ▓
    ▓        described as some "gritty third world ish". They             ▓
    ▓        proved with their EP, The Himalayan Project that they        ▓
    ▓        are a talent on the rise. With Beats provided by DJ          ▓
    ▓        Cheapshot (Styles of Beyond fame), they upped the            ▓
    ▓        ante and showed that they were a group on the rise           ▓
    ▓        from the West Coast.                                         ▓

    ▓        Recently, both members have moved to the East Coast          ▓
    ▓        and began collaborating with Scott Koozner (who              ▓
    ▓        recently produced 'Finishline' and 'Copacetic" for           ▓
    ▓        Styles of the Mountain Brothers). A few bangin'              ▓
    ▓        singles became and album and "The Middle Passage" was        ▓
    ▓        born with the inspiration of 2001 Nobel Prize winner         ▓
    ▓        for literature, V.S. Naipaul and as a homage to their        ▓
    ▓        roots in San Francisco, Boston, Philly, India,               ▓
    ▓        Southern China and South America.                            ▓
