│ The second chapter in Takeout's Decks And The City series ││
│ leaves New York and heads west in favor of the deeper sounds ││
│ of Chicago. Selector Diz is no stranger to the scene, with ││
│ more than a decade's worth of residencies and production ││
│ credits under his belt, and his experience and connection ││
│ with the city shines through in his mix. He favors funky, ││
│ bottom-ended house, and includes hometown acts and other ││
│ like-minded artists, including JT Donaldson ("My Belief"), ││
│ Mark Farina ("Time To Jack") and Shaftsbury Sisters ("Big ││
│ Time Boogie Shit"). Sysco's jazz-injected "Composer" opens ││
│ the set in a mellow manner while Diz slowly builds to ││
│ Joshua's raucous "Hustlin" at the disc's conclusion. ││
│ Anchoring this well-structured mix are "Pitty Pat" by Mike ││
│ Dixon, and Lo/Rez's booty-shakin' "Our Sound", ensuring that ││
│ Diz has capably carried the torch that Marcus and Dominique ││
